Larry Sternberg, Associate, is a research and planning consultant, educator, and mentor. He is a Visiting Scholar at Brandeis University’s Hornstein Program in Jewish Professional Leadership, and previously served as Executive Director of Brandeis Hillel. As a faculty member at Brandeis, Larry taught courses in the Hornstein Program in Jewish advocacy and leadership; he also served as Director of the Nathan Perlmutter Institute for Jewish Advocacy and as Associate Director of the Maurice and Marilyn Cohen Center for Modern Jewish Studies. Larry has served as a consultant to Jewish organizations in North America, Europe and Israel, working with professional and volunteer leadership, and providing planning and evaluation tools to agencies. He was principal investigator of The National Jewish Community Public Affairs Survey, the largest public affairs survey ever conducted among donors to Jewish Federations in the United States and was the lead researcher surveying Reform and Conservative synagogues for the Faith Communities Today project, a survey of over 14,000 religious congregations in the United States.
